He Slimed Me
After completion of Stay Puft, I received a commission to create my other favorite gluttonous blob, Slimer. I've always been a big Venkman fan but when it came to the Ghostbusters cartoon, I mainly watched because of Slimer. I decided to model my Slimer after the cartoon version also because he gives off a more lovable, Casper the Friendly Ghost appeal, rather than how he appears in the movies.
Like Stay Puft, I had concerns about the ugly pudginess of the body, but trial and error increasing and decreasing worked out pretty well. I have been working a lot lately with open-mouthed characters, and it was fun to insert a tongue this time. I also refined a new technique to make hands that I created when working on Giant Monsters, and I'm super pleased with the outcome.

All in all, I am extremely happy with the way Slimer turned out and wish I could have a copy of him and Stay Puft for my home! Maybe when I have time I can try to make them again for myself or obtain some visiting rights. hahah
That is awesome!!

ReplyDeleteHowdy this is kinda of off topic but I was wondering if blogs use WYSIWYG editors or if you have to manually code with HTML. I'm starting a blog soon but have no coding knowledge so I wanted to get guidance from someone with experience. Any help would be greatly appreciated! netflix account
