Isn't She a Doll?

The sound of hair being cut excites me. Hairstylist was my first desired occupation I discovered in preschool when I got in trouble for cutting my best friend's hair. I sometimes even miss the days I had short hair, because I would self-cut and dye mine all the time.

Joel Raul commissioned me to create his friend in yarn wearing pink boxing gloves, pink shoes, and a pink dress with a cyan lightening bolt. He sent me a photo of a pretty girl named Lilo with this really cute pink ombre.

I created a pattern to make a cute little strapless dress that I wish I had in my closet, but the most fun I had was cutting and styling her hair. I sectioned and snipped her like a real person.

I'm really happy with the outcome. She looks about ready for a fight!

I'm not sure what it is but I like her lots. Giving up things I make is always bittersweet though, because I know they will make the person receiving them happy.
